My photography motto is this, "If you are not looking you will never see." This photo is a good example.
Taken several years ago on Baltimore street in Cumberland, MD, this young couple was sitting there talking and suddenly the Sun light broke through highlighting the one white shoe on the young ladies foot.
I already had my camera out looking for photo ops and when I saw them I raised my camera, focused on them and captured this once in a lifetime- non posed - image.
Right after taking this photo the couple got up and walked away. Just think, if I had not been practicing my own motto I would not have seen this setting or documented the "One white shoe".
It pays to be looking or you will never see and capture that never to be seen moment again...
Rebuilt with materials mostly from the original log cabin, this is the building that George Washington used at Fort Cumberland in Western Maryland during the French and Indian war when George was on the staff of General Braddock of the British Army.
As a retrospect I gave this image a vintage look...
