Photo That Planted The Seed

Back in the 60's, while camping out in the woods with our Scout troop, I used my cheap little 126mm camera for the first time. B&W film with only 12 exposures, and on the last day of camp these three guys suddenly came out of the dark woods on a slightly hazy morning marching like this to show that they survived their week camping out in the wilderness.

I did not realize what I had gotten with the quick shot I got until about a month later when I finally got back my developed photos. Some were good, several were not and then there was this one which I called, "The Survivors".

This was the image that planted the seed of photography in me and began my lifelong adventure in photography.

Over 50 years later, in my 70's, I still engage, to some extent, in my lifelong avocation of photography...
