Iron Rail Diner

In the background is the Mt. Savage Jail. This little blue-collar town lies between Frostburg and Cumberland Maryland on Rt. 36. It's note to fame is the that the first iron rails ever made (pressed) in these United States were first made here in 1844. Soon, it became the fifth largest city in Maryland.

Now, there are less than 1000 residents living here. In fact, in the 2010 census it had a population of 873. It is a quaint little town where people mostly drive through and few ever stop.
