Friday Favorite..... Looking Back At Cumberland
Please click on the photo for a better image...
On the C&O Canal Tow Path, down the Potomac River, looking back at Cumberland, MD. Taken, of course, during Autumn of a past year. The Blue Bridge, that really is its name, crosses over the Potomac from Cumberland to Ridgeley, WV.
The big building up on the hill is the Allegany County Court House sitting in an area where once stood Fort Cumberland when it was the last outpost to the West.

Elevating For Headball Action
Please click on the photo for a better image...
As Number 7 went up for some headball action the defender, No. 11, had a hold of his shirt in trying to hold him down. Even the defender is slightly off of the ground almost as if the Offensive player had pulled him up as he went up. And No. 11 looks as if he had an arm hammer hold on the defender during all of this.
However, if you look at the referee in the background, he is not even watching the action as he is looking at something going on over on the sideline and we do not even know what it is. Action is going on every where in this photo. I love images like this...

Blocking For Your Running Back
Please click on the photo for a better image...
When you are an Offensive Lineman and your Running Back is coming your way, you will block for him in what ever way that you can to get him past the line of scrimmage. Number 67, in the middle, is doing just that. He kept is man away from the Running Back and allowed him to make a nice gain on this play.
He did his job and he did it well...

The Dentist's Office
Please click on the photo for a better image...
Most medical buildings have a sterile, block like look to them. They look cold and not very inviting. However, this Dentist's office is in a converted two story walk-up. It looks homey and inviting which helps to set people at ease as they proceed to enter. Actually looks pretty darn good, if you ask me...

Walking In The Rain
Please click on the photo for a better image...
While out doing some street photography a rain storm came up and this lady never missed a beat as she came walking by carrying her laundry in the midst of the downpour. It was warm and I guess it just felt good to be walking in the rain... :-)

Stormy Weather
Looking For Cover
Please click on the photo for a better image...
I was out walking about with my camera when a storm came up rather quickly. So I took refuge under a crosstown bridge but, as you can see, it didn't provide to much protection from the storm. After awhile I decided not to stay and just go out in the rain and look for something to photograph. I did and this is the first thing I got.
Truck Splash

Yeah, being just in the rain could have been a lot worse had I been across the street, which is where I was heading when this truck came by. Sure glad that I was standing where I was when I took this... :-)

Invisible Blue Boy

As he walks the stands at a football game, people seemingly will not look his way, almost as if they do not see him. Was very interesting to watch...

Please click on the photo for a better image...
Well, it is time, and we are already one game into the season. There are ten more, at least, to go and anything can happen. So, lets see what goes on and if there will be a post season. Only time will tell.

Coming Soon To An Area Near You
Please click on the photo for a better image...
Autumn in Peaceful Valley. The colors of Fall in all its glory will soon be arriving. Then the final colors of warm weather will be upon us to view and photograph to our hearts content. But, look for the unusual, the difference and be set apart from everyone else.
You can do it if you will but look, seek and find. Remember, if you are not looking you will never see...
