Birth Of A Winter's Sunrise

On Friday morning I had gone out early to get a haircut. Don't ask, I've been doing it this way for years. Anyway, on the way back home I noticed how the sky, in the distance, was just starting to turn pink.

I took out my camera, Fuji X20, and started to photograph what I was seeing. As the sky was changing, and I was getting closer to home, I kept photographing what I was seeing being fascinated with how the colors were getting more intense and growing across the sky.

At last I was almost home and before turning up my street, which would have been turning away from this beautiful sky, I stopped to take just a couple more shots. Here are just five of the photos that I took but I feel they are a good representation of what I was seeing...

As for how I took these photos, you just might be able to guess. Let me just say that this is not the kind of photography that I would suggest you try doing. It's just something that I've done for years and it's hard to break the habit... :-)
