A.F. Green Insurance (Klotz Throwing Mill - 1957)

Created in 2013, this image is taking a step back in time to 1957 to the Klotz Throwing Mill. Also known as The Lonaconing Silk Mill.

In 1957 the employees walked out on strike over wages. The company then closed down the mill in response to the strike. The machinery, equipment and employee personal items were permanently left inside and could not be retrieved. Today it stands pretty much like it did back in 57 when it closed and it is the last intact Silk Mill like it in the United States.
