Lone Tree Along The York

In the misty morning light, along the York River, in the park east of town, stands this lone sentinel. In the years we have been visiting, this tree has withstood the rains, snow and winds that only the sea can provide.

I’m still amazed how this one tree has denied the ages of time to survive as it has and to greet us once again as we visit this place.

  1. This is a very nice photo! What is the item that seems to be floating off in the water on the left?

  2. Thanks for the nice comment Manual... ... what you see is actually a small wave tip spray. It was very windy on this day and the water was quite choppy. Every so often some wind would catch the top of the small wave and blow it creating the spray that you see.

Come back and visit again. I always love to see comments or questions... :-)
