Foot Work

For someone who plays soccer, practicing your footwork is very important. Not just for scoring, but for passing to your teammates as well.

Every chance Stone gets he’s practicing his game…

The Catch

Please click on the image for a larger and sharper photo...

It’s not easy making a catch while chasing down the ball in the outfield, especially when the grass isn’t cut and the ground is a little bumpy.

The catch was made...

Left Foot Forward

I like how these girls and their Mom all walk in step, so close together, while eating Ice Cream. It was a warm day and I cannot imagine why they would walk so closely together.

Actually, I was sitting on a bench, with my wife, eating Ice Cream myself when these ladies walked by. Taking the photo was interesting. I had to do it one handed, without using the viewfinder and making sure that I didn't loose my own Ice Cream without looking like I was taking a photo in the first place... :-)

This was taken on Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown, VA...

Wallace’s Trading Post

As stated on their facebook page: Browse one of the largest souvenir shops in Williamsburg. 10,000 sq. ft. of exploring history, having fun and meeting great people. Rustic and exciting. Find something for everyone. We carry authentic Native American Made items. Knives, fudge from our Fudge factory.

As these photos show, I’ve been there and it is quite a place. You can easily spend about an hour here, just looking around, and you will see some very interesting items; as seen by these photos.

If you are ever in Williamsburg, VA you just have to make some time to stop and browse. I guarantee you will be glad you did...

Lone Tree Along The York

In the misty morning light, along the York River, in the park east of town, stands this lone sentinel. In the years we have been visiting, this tree has withstood the rains, snow and winds that only the sea can provide.

I’m still amazed how this one tree has denied the ages of time to survive as it has and to greet us once again as we visit this place.

Watching The Girls Go By…

When I’m out doing Street Photography one of the things I like most is just watching people go about their daily life. In doing so you can catch them in moments of unassuming activities.

I had seen these two girls coming towards me, and at the same time I saw this gentleman watching them. So I just had time to raise my camera and catch the moment as the girls kept walking seemingly unaware of the man watching the girls go by…

Father and Son

I love Street Photography but I don’t work at it that much. So, while on vacation lately, I decided to spend a little time practicing.

However, I decided to try shooting in B&W mode only, and not shoot in color before converting it. So, what I did was to set my P&S camera to the B&W mode. Then I preset the focus to about 10 ft. and put the camera in aperture priority mode; set at f/4. This allowed me to just take my P&S camera and just point it and shoot… :-)
