Road Trip Photography

A Stream Runs Through It

It’s on the verge of Winter and yet colors still abound. There may not be any leaves on the trees, but there are shades of hues out there. You just need to look for them.

This is but one of many valley scenes that can be viewed on Patterson Creek Road; a wonderful name for a road that provides images like this. Patterson Creek Road runs between Burlington and Foreman, WV. The entire drive consists mainly of farms and land for cattle.

This scene here is one where I always thought would make a good place to put a cabin over next to the mountain, just on the other side of the stream. I love how the leaves and pine needles on the ground gives and bit of brown edging to the tree line running up the hill.

The valley itself is nicely green for this time of the year, and many times one can see cattle peacefully grazing or deer running across the fields. It is beautiful country and it’s the kind of land upon which my Dad was raised. This is just another reason why I love where I live.

Yeah, this is my world and you are welcome to it.
