When I shoot street photos I do like to get in close and use the wide angle portion of the lens. Sometimes, however, you don’t have time to get in close, or by doing so might cause a change of what you want to capture. So, for me, it is best to shoot first and then get closer if possible.
This time I did shoot just as soon as I saw the two lovers sitting there and where I was allowed me to use the corn stalks as framing for the scene. Right after taking this photo I started to get in closer, trying to look like I wasn’t interested in them but the man got up and walked up the street and the women follow right after. The moment was gone.
For this “decisive moment” the shot that I took was the correct one. Had I waited to get closer the moment would have been gone and I would have missed what I feel is a good photo of a “ Fall Romance “…
