A View From Western Maryland

The Mural

This mural is on the side of the Cumberland Times-News newspaper building and it surrounds the little parklet that is at the corner. The mural depicts a time in the past of Cumberland and it is larger than lifesize. It really is a wonderful image. Actually this portion of the building is just a few hundred feet from the Western Maryland Station. So, if you come to ride the locomotive, "Mountain Thunder" you will see this unique painting.

The photo itself was taken with a 5mp P&S camera. It was then cropped and given the edge that you see in Photoshop Elements and then I optimized for web viewing.

This is one of those unique views you will see when you come to Cumberland and one in which you will only miss if you have your eyes closed.

Yeah, this is my world and you are welcome to it.
