Weekly Black & White Square Photo

Water House

Sitting out in the bushes, a crumbled folding chair lying next to it, rusty, lonely, overgrown, waiting for it's owner to come back. What had it been used for? How long ago was it in operation? Let your imagination flow with what you see. It can be whatever you want it to be. It's the "Water House".

This image was taken with a DSLR and a 28 - 200mm lens. ISO was 400 and the capture was 1/200 at f/5.6. In Photoshop Elements the photo was converted to a B&W image and cropped for the square look. I increased the contrast a little, added some vignetting and a touch of sharpening to compensate for the loss of sharpness due to the resizing for Internet viewing.

This was discovered during a youth football game as it was near the field. Just one of those images that needed to be recorded for what it seemed to be and where it was found. A Still? I don't know. Never had one.

However, it is one of those items that if you are not looking - photographically speaking - you will never see it. In my world I like to look for the unusual, the interesting items that others might pass by, but one that would give an indication of what my world is like.

Yeah, this is my "Water House" world and you are welcome to it.

Anyone have a jug?
