A View From Western Maryland

What Fall Looks Like In My World

With Fall almost upon us just wanted to give you an idea of what Fall can look like in my world.

This photo was taken from the Towpath of the C&O Canal, just east of Cumberland; this is just a small sample of Fall in Western MD. Now I know everyone has just as exciting and colorful settings in the Fall where they live, but none looks like this.

I took this photo with a P&S camera and optimized it for web viewing with Photoshop Elements 2, that's right, 2. The ISO was 50 shot at 1/160 @ f/5.6, using Center-Weighted exposure.

My world is very colorful all year round and you will definitely enjoy it when you come for a visit, and you will; someday you will.

Yeah, this is my world and you are welcome to it.

  1. I love the colors in your picture.
I'm from California so I've never seen this type of beauty. However I now live in Bucks County PA, I've heard that it's second to none for fall beauty. I'll soon find out.

Old bridges are great, I posted a few picture of the Ben Franklin bridge on my Newtown blog.

  2. A real beauty Glenn, nicely composed. Can't wait to see more as the season rolls on.

  3. Thanks guy, really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.

Ed knows what a New England Fall is like and James you are in for a treat. You'll love fall where you live. Just make sure you get out in the country more.
