Homemade Pasta Sauce

One of my favorites. Brown a half pound of lean ground beef; mix in some sea salt and ground pepper to taste. Add a can of tomato sauce with Italian spices. Next add a can of fire roasted tomatoes with garlic and let all the ingredients simmer while you get the water for the pasta to boil.

With this recipe I use 8 ounces of Penne, as this will make four servings. After boiling for about 9 minutes in water, with a little olive oil added, drain but do not rinse as the olive oil will help the pasta sauce stick to the pasta. After draining add the pasta to the skillet with the sauce, stir and cover, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes or so.

Scoop and serve with what ever side you want, and this makes a quick and tasty homemade pasta dish with wonderful flavors and aroma. At least mine always turns out that way...
