North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River

When I took this photo I had in mind a soft, not smooth, color image of the river flowing past this rock along with a little sparkle in the water. Nothing I did in my digital darkroom would allow me to achieve that goal. So, out of curiosity, I converted the image to black and white and added just a touch of a vintage look to it and what I wanted to achieve in color I did so in black & white.

Now I know I had not intended to do anymore B&W images for awhile but, in this case, I made an exemption that I’m glad that I did. I hope you like this view as well.

BTW, the North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River runs past Seneca Rocks in West Virginia...
