Colonial Storehouse

Functional, well constructed and used for many reasons, the Storage Sheds of Colonial days were deemed a necessary building. They would be used for many things from storing guns and ammunitions to left over items from the kitchen.

Morning Past

How many times has the Sun come up and given light on the work of this farm? It’s not an easy life for the work is hard, it’s not romantic and the rewards few. However, for those who lived this life it was all they knew. They are now gone and all we have left are remnants of “Morning Past”…

Red White & Blue

I was out at the Allegany County Fairgrounds today when I noticed this building. It seemed that the Information Booth, and many things close by, all had the colors of red, white and blue; even the soft drink vending machine in the background.

It was just to good to pass up. I had to photograph it, and I did…

Awaiting Spring

Lake side steps leading down to a still partially frozen Deep Creek Lake in Western MD. In a couple of months there will boats, swimming and sailing on these waters, and many people can hardly wait for the time to arrive.

In the meantime one can only observe and still enjoy those beautiful little moments that can only be seen when it's Winter time on The Lake.

The Wood Cutter

Came home last Friday and found some rather large limbs in the backyard from the strong winds that went through that day. Well, they did need to be cleaned up…
