A Winters Day

Four photos - all Winter photos and all shot at different times.

The first photo shows where it all began forty years ago. I'll let you think about that one, but I'm older than that; so it is not where I was conceived or born.

The second photo is what I can see from the third floor of the building where I work. If you can figure that one out you may be able to guess where it is that I work.

The third photo was taken of a farm in Garrett Co. This was one of those "found" photos that occured as I rounded a curve on a country road and there it was. I rolled down the window, took my Canon A95 - focused, framed and fired. What I like about this one is that it sort of looks like a toy farm.

The fourth photo is one that I envisioned as being a pastel painting. It was overcast, light snow with snow on the ground against a white wall with white painted windows and softly colored chimes hanging down. It just looked like a painting and that is what I tried to capture.

As usual, if you click on any of these photos they will open up to a larger size. Then just hit your backspace or back button to return to this blog. A DSLR was used for three of the photos and you can pretty much tell which ones they were since I already stated which one was taken with a point & shoot camera.

Not much was done in Photoshop and these looked pretty much as I saw them.

My world has much to see no matter what time of the year it is, although Winter does have a special touch to it, even with its lack of color, and I do love it. Yes, this is my world and you are welcome to it.
